What you said the other day was basically that now the major blocker is this strategy, and we call it a branding decision, but branding in the broad sense. Outputs would be things like the design system, the comms strategy, and other things. Like the second renesos website, the core things were:

  • a design system
  • maybe a mockup of the Instagram
  • the second renesos website
  • and probably a few key strategic decisions Yes, that is the number one priority, and that's all we're doing with the three of us in May, like maybe other things happened. Then there's that, which gets rolled out as content, and there's also, in parallel, Jarlath is working on content backlog production and supervision, but not just a backlog, a timeline. A timeline. I think that wants to get fixed when we've really got our plan, because otherwise you create a timeline when you can't hit the timeline. I think you want to know what your backlog of content that you can release is. For example, rather than seeing them say 2RCon is going to go out in July and then at the end of May we're like, "Oh, but actually we need to do X, Y, and Z." It has to get pushed. You want to know that the 2RCon content is ready. You want to know that this set of podcasts is ready. You want to know that we've got this other set of content ready. Then you want to prepare the backlog, but not sequence it until you've got your basic strategy done. Then, in early June, you could do content calendaring, but when do we do content strategy? Now, the strategy is where we're going to invade Belgium. When are we going to invade Belgium? The exact timeline in which we're going to invade Belgium and go through the Ardennes into France is up to another time. I don't want to invade Belgium, but I'm just trying to say strategy is where we're going and roughly how? What path? How? Not the detailed timing of when it happens. I understand, but that's what I meant. We're doing that now. Content planning? Content planning is that yes, and Johnath can be involved in that with the course and so on, but to some degree he can also just get on with his content production in the background. Our original plan was that the core of us do strategy and brand with these outputs in May to early June when YoYo comes back. Meanwhile, Johnath and Valerie, to the extent, basically keep rolling on their content production. Then, come early June, we basically start. We hope we're in a position to start rolling that out. If I recap, yes, we're doing branding, design system, and content strategy. The overall strategy, a little way, is final decisions, like we're going with second. We've made some of those decisions already, but polishing it up between overall strategy and a common strategy is a strategy that says no, because my understanding is that, at the moment, that is the part we're focusing on comms. Yes, that itself is a strategic decision that you want to communicate to people, both inside and externally. Hey, we're focusing on comms. We're not doing other stuff. Yes, but I thought we already largely made that decision, but tidying that up in a way that you can communicate is valuable. Okay, and comms strategy, yes, and that manifest, because I know you like that in artefacts, like the things you actually, because you work bottom up. For example, I would often have you focus on doing a second renaissance website. A little overwhelmed right now when you're like, "Oh, we're going to do strategy." I'm like, "Let's say panic. I'm going to panic." Yes, I just want, I don't want to do strategy. I just want to do comms strategy, okay, content planning. Just do comms strategy, then content planning. What are you saying? It's actually so simple, which is, guys, we're doing the strap. We're doing comms as a priority. It feels like I understand your point, but it feels like, "Oh my god, you could accidentally reopen a Pandora's box before you fucking know it." We're in a week into fucking general strategy where actually the priority is comms strategies. Let's say comms strategy and content planning, yes, okay, so that's what we're producing in May, and pretty much everything else is on hold until that is done. I mean, jah can keep rolling with Valerie, but even the magazine you work on in your spare time, just so we're clear, will not launch probably in mid-June, at least the formal one. We're aiming for September now. We might keep rolling. We might get quotes. We'll see, but when we make your heart powerful decision to sort this out, they might go very quickly, and within a few days it's done. Great. Can I say it's not on pause? It's not on pause. Okay, it's background. It's de-prioritised. Yes, it's not paused. It's de-prioritised. What is de-prioritised? The magazine? Yeah, it's almost done, but it's been almost done for three weeks, for a long time. No, no, no, no. We're at the stage where we no, no, it could not. My experience is like, "Oh, you said another thing, something else is wrong." Sylvie is a perfectionist. It could take a long time, and right now, because certainly calendar time, it might not be a lot of people keep distracting, do a little tweak here and there. What I mean to say is that focus is on the branding and on the comms strategy, and I will probably keep working on that when, let's say, "Oh, I have an hour there." I continue.
